PMO Conference 2021

A Safe and Secure Event

We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our delegates, exhibitors, speakers and staff and as such we will be taking extra measures to ensure the PMO Conference is delivered as a Covid safe event.

All information contained within this page is subject to change due to the ongoing pandemic. It will be amended in line with any new changes in government legislation and requirements passed on to us by the venue which impact the attendees of the PMO Conference 2021.

The Mermaid Conference Venue

All guests will be required to show evidence of a negative lateral flow test dated 48 hours of attendance (reported on the government website & displayed via text or NHS app) or proof of double vaccination no less than 14 days before attendance (displayed via NHS app or Website).

The Mermaid are taking extra measures to ensure the safety of all visitors to the venue which includes the following;

  • Temperature checks on arrival – all guests will have their temperature taken via our thermal imagining camera at the main entrance (the image can capture and detect up to 30 people and read at 0.2 of a second per person )
    Any guest with a temperature of 38C or higher will not be allowed to enter as this could be interpreted as feverish. The venue will work with all guests that show signs of raised temperature (e.g. additional temperature check)
  • Hand Sanitiser Stations – These will be located beside the registration area, cloakrooms, toilets, catering areas, room entrances, at each exit door within the conference rooms and around the exhibition area. Please remember to use these and wash your hands frequently during your visit.
  • Enhanced Venue cleaning – The Mermaid staff will be regularly deep cleaning the venue with an additional focus on high-frequency touch points, such as lifts, counters, toilets, doors and handrails.
  • Catering – All catering staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE and catering options provided will be self service to minimise additional contact.

Your Personal Responsibility

Before travelling to attend the conference, we kindly ask visitors to take personal accountability for their health and those around them by adhering to COVID-19 safety measures in place and NOT attending our event if you are displaying symptoms, have been asked to self-isolate or live with an individual who has symptoms of COVID-19.

We ask you to please remember that as we come back together some people will be more comfortable in the environment than others. As a result:

Please give people space when you are walking past them.

Check before initiating personal contact (consider elbow bumps rather than handshakes or hugs).

We will be providing areas within the conference rooms for people who wish to socially distance and also areas for people who are comfortable with coming back together. Please respect other people’s choices and be kind to others.

Masks

We are a mask friendly event. It is a personal choice if you wish to wear a mask – we will be providing areas for those who are more comfortable wearing a mask and who wish to socially distance.

Please respect other people’s choices and keep your distance from those who wish to do so.

We will also be providing masks within the delegate packs and throughout the venue on the day.

Cancellation or Non-Attendance Due to Covid

We understand that circumstances may dictate that you are unable to attend the conference and we will be offering several options;

In certain circumstances we will also be offering the possibility of moving your ticket to the 2022 conference.

Alternatively, all the conference sessions are being recorded and you will gain access to those after the event.
