PMO INSIGHT CONFERENCE EDINBURGH 2026
From Reporting
to Insight
Building the Decision-Enabling PMO
Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th November 2026
Edinburgh International Conference Centre
PMO reporting is evolving.
Most PMO reporting stops at information. The real value comes from turning it into knowledge, judgement and action.
Across many organisations, PMOs are being asked to move beyond simply producing reports and start helping people make better sense of the information in front of them.
That means clearer insight, better questions, earlier signals and more confidence in the decisions that shape projects, programmes and portfolios.
PMO Insight Conference Edinburgh 2026 is a practical two-day event for PMO professionals who want to move beyond traditional reporting and build the data, insight, AI readiness, governance and confidence needed to support better decisions.
This is not a sit-back-and-listen conference. Across the two days, you’ll hear real PMO stories, work through practical exercises, join table discussions, explore partner-led clinics and leave with ideas you can take back into your own PMO.
Move Beyond Reporting
Every PMO reports. The real opportunity is helping the organisation understand what the reporting is really saying, and what needs to happen next.
Practical and Applicable
Practical exercises, honest PMO stories, expert input and peer discussions to help you turn data, reporting and insight into better decisions.
Connect and Learn
Compare notes with other PMO professionals, hear how
different organisations are approaching the same challenges, and leave with clearer next steps for your own PMO.

What to expect across the two days
Across the two days, four connected parts help you move from traditional reporting to clearer insight, stronger judgement and practical action. The data-driven PMO is the first step to becoming a strategic-PMO.
Day 1 Morning
Data to Information
Understand where reporting starts to lose value
Explore why traditional PMO reporting often falls short, where trust and meaning are lost, and what practitioners have done to fix it.
You’ll examine familiar reporting problems, hear honest PMO stories and identify decisions your current reporting is not supporting.
You'll leave the morning knowing where your own reporting chain is broken
Day 2 Morning
Knowledge to Wisdom
Build confidence in the evidence and the PMO’s judgement
Look beneath the dashboard to test data sources, quality, cadence, usefulness and trust. Group and individual exercises to uncover practical insights.
Explore where PPM tools and automation can strengthen the process and where PMO judgement, challenge and organisational context are still essential.
You'll gain practical ways to decide what can be trusted, what needs challenging and what must be fixed first
Day 1 Afternoon
Information to Knowledge
Turn reporting to decision-ready insight
Discover what useful insight actually looks like and how context, narrative and purpose change the value of a report. The data foundation lab is a brilliant exercise.
Working with other delegates, you’ll redesign reporting around a real leadership decision, build a clearer decision story and test whether it would genuinely help someone act.
You'll move beyond presenting dashboard outputs to explaining what they mean
Day 2 Afternoon
Wisdom to Action
Use insight responsibly and turn it into change
Explore practical AI use cases, the PMO’s emerging role in AI governance and what needs to be vertified before AI-supported output influences decisions.
You’ll work through a governance scenario, join focused roundtables and finish by creating a practical 90-day plan for your own PMO.
You'll leave with one weakness to address, one decision to improve and clear action to take back to work
