The House of PMO has launched a new member benefit today – the online tool which allows PMO professionals to undertake their own self-assessment against the PMO Competency Framework.

The self-assessment tool is the first of its kind for those working in the field of PMO. The tool will allow individuals to assess themselves against a recognised standard; identify skills gaps; assess against future career goals and learn what ‘competent’ looks like for the roles within a PMO.

There is a webinar scheduled for Friday 4th June at 12 noon BST which gives a tour around the online tool.

The PMO Competency Framework, launched in February 2021, became a number one bestseller in the project management domain after three years in the making.

ComaeaWith the House of PMO launching soon afterwards in May 2021, online and full members can now access the online tool version of the PMO Competency Framework.

Partnering with Comaea – the competency framework and assessment specialists – the House of PMO are able to provide members with access to the online tool plus the full book text of the Framework.

Members are able to choose different role profiles within the tool or complete the full assessment against all the competences within the different PMO contexts. The tool also allows users to record their knowledge, skills and behaviours.

What is a Competency Framework?

Eileen Roden, co-founder of House of PMO and lead author for the PMO Competency Framework outlined what the PMO Competency Framework is:

“The PMO Competency Framework has been created to provide a standard and a toolset to allow PMO professionals to understand, assess and develop the skills, behaviours and experience to achieve their PMO goals and career potential.”
