In this session, we welcome the authors of the new book "From PMO to VMO - Managing for Value Delivery". If you're interested in how the PMO is supporting Agile and looking to understand areas such as value streams; adaptive planning, tracking flow and setting up a VMO - this is the session for you.

We missed out last year, now we're back for 2021, the PMO Flashmob Christmas Social!
It's the time of year when we take some time to reflect before heading into the New Year.
With all the PMO Flashmob events, we help you connect with others without the embarrassment and awkwardness of networking events. This will be a facilitated conversation night, designed to get you chatting.
All we ask is think about coming along in your Christmas jumper!
We can't wait for things to start getting back to normal, see you there.
This event is free for full members, and carries a charge for free and online members.

The PMO Manager’s Lunch takes place annually – and brings together 10 PMO Managers, talking over lunch about a particular PMO topic.
This event leads to the production of an Inside PMO report, which brings the insights from the lunch to a wider audience.
This event is free to attend, some PMO Managers are invited to attend, others are allocated based on their experiences to date in the subject matter for the lunch.
This year's focus is PMO Leadership.
The PMO Book Club is an exclusive member event held on a quarterly basis.
If you enjoy reading this is the PMO club for you. Each quarter we select a book that we think PMO professionals will enjoy.
Our PMO Book Club this quarter will be released in September 2021.
How the book club works
You purchase the book and read it. Sign up for this event and join in the session.
Book clubs are all about posing questions about the text to stimulate discussion and debate.
This event is a facilitated session and is open to all members. You don't need to have read the book to join the session, you can still join and listen to the conversation.
RSVP or register to attend the session based on your membership level.
Each year the House of PMO takes time to reflect on the year and you're invited to join the retrospective.
Expect retrospective exercises that give us the chance to see how 2021 ended up for us all and how we're feeling about 2022.
More details to be confirmed nearer the date.
Join us for the latest PMO panel session where we bring together a panel of people passionate about a particular PMO topic - on the panel this time are the Lodgers at the House of PMO.
Each lodger has a different specialism and focus on PMO so we thought, why not have them look at the trends for 2022 and give us their take.
With each panel, you can also get involved and put questions to the panel.
An exclusive House of PMO member event which takes place bi-monthly.
This hour session gives you the opportunity to take part in a session which is 100% focused on PMO careers.
You have the option to add a question of your own or just join in and take part in the career-related discussion.
The first part of this month's session is dedicated to one aspect of PMO careers, decided on by members - the second part, to answering member questions.
We all have something to share from our own personal experiences and we definitely take away something when we hear what has worked for others.
Registration required - free to paid members
The PMO Director role is often misunderstood – or not even present in many organisations committed to delivering change through portfolios, programmes, and projects.
We’re delighted to have Mitch Rollings join us for this session. Mitch is an experienced PMO Director with over 20 years in the role of PMO Director and Head of PPM. He currently works for Westpac, the leading Australian bank and has previously worked for Vodafone, AWE, Atkins and British Gas, to name a few.
We will find out more about the PMO Director role – its purpose and the key accountabilities. Mitch will share insights from his own experiences, getting into the structure of the role; the context he’s working in; the relationships with executives; some of the challenges he has faced in the position and his thoughts on the real difference a PMO can make to an organisation.
Mitch has some great stories to share and he’ll be giving us his insights from the first 100 days in the role.
This session will certainly give you much food for thought plus you’ll be guaranteed to take away lots of gold nuggets of actionable insights.
You might have seen these events springing up over the last couple of years, the next event in February 2022 will be a face to face event in London and we'd like to get a cohort of PMO practitioners to come along and work together under the banner of House of PMO.
There are two things that PMOs seem to struggle with today - the first, about the value they are adding to their organisations and their role in providing governance-related services.
In this session, we bring the two together and provide much food for thought with something called business integrated governance.
Do you run an effective PMO, yet feel that you can offer so much more to the running of your business? Are you fed up with trying to upsell the service you provide from an effectiveness and efficiency viewpoint – because the business just doesn’t buy it?
Perhaps you’re taking the wrong approach?
A new type of event from House of PMO - the 'super series'.
The super series takes place over 6 months with one event a month - all focused on a specific PMO topic. We launch the series with an Agile PMO Super Series.
The session is hosted by our agility lodger Matthew Milsom and you're invited to take part in any of the sessions - if you're really keen to learn about anything and everything agile/Agile in your role, consider attending all six of the sessions.
How it Works
Register and add your response to the first question - 'what would you like to see covered in this first session?'
Your responses help to create the super series backlog and at the end of each session, a new crowdsourced area of interest for the next session is chosen.
In other words, it's you, the attendee that chooses what the sessions are focused on.
You can attend all the sessions or just dip into the ones that interest you the most.
The sessions are free to online and full members - a small fee for those that are currently free members.
The first session takes place Monday 21st February at 12 noon UK time and then takes place every fourth Monday of the month.
Our lodger Nicole Reilly is sitting comfortably in the Tool Shed and ready to open the doors to a virtual session all about the Microsoft Power Platform.
We've had lots of requests to do a session on PowerBI, Power Automate and Power Apps - but where to start?!
