PMO Learning from the House of PMO has launched a brand new training course designed to help PMO professionals develop practical, hands-on skills in using Artificial Intelligence in their day-to-day work.
Practical AI Skills for the PMO is the first new course introduced since PMO Learning became part of the House of PMO portfolio. The two-day course focuses on helping PMO professionals understand where AI can add real value across the PMO lifecycle – from reporting and assurance to planning, insights and stakeholder communication.
Rather than focusing on automation, the course takes an augmentation approach, showing how AI can accelerate and enhance PMO work while ensuring that governance, critical thinking and human judgement remain central.
The course includes practical labs and real-world simulations using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Google Gemini, allowing delegates to explore how generative AI can be applied safely and effectively within PMO environments.
Across the two days, participants will explore how AI can support areas such as:
- Governance and assurance reviews
- Reporting, metrics and portfolio insights
- Risk, issue and dependency analysis
- Demand, resource and capacity planning
- Stakeholder communications and executive reporting
- Planning, scheduling and delivery support
By the end of the course, delegates will understand what generative AI can and cannot do in a PMO context, how to apply it responsibly within governance boundaries, and how to build reusable prompt approaches that improve consistency and quality in PMO outputs.
The course is suitable for PMO Administrators, Analysts, Managers, Heads of PMO and anyone supporting project, programme or portfolio delivery.
The pilot virtual classroom will take place on 14–15 May, with an introductory pilot price of £950 + VAT.
