Arrival – Breakfast, Registration and Welcomes
We kick off the day with arrival and registration, time to grab a quick bite to eat and meet your training peers and your instructor for the day, Laura Barnard. Each learner will receive the course book and training workbook.

The Strategy Lifecycle
The day kicks off with an understanding of the strategy lifecycle which is crucial to bridging the gap between definition and realization.
“Strategy is defined in one part of the business, and PMOs only get involved when it’s time to deliver. But by then, it’s often too late to shape the value.”
Through the exercises, we will map the journey from strategic intent to measurable business value. You’ll receive an introduction to the Impact Engine lifecycle and start to understand the flow from strategy definition, execution, and realization with the Strategy Lifecycle Worksheet.

Mindset shifts are essential for PMO leaders transitioning from PMOs which focus on administrative oversight to ones which deliver value-driven impact. In this session, we’ll focus on three key elements: Instilling Focus, Measuring Outcomes, and Performing Relentlessly.

Instilling Focus – Helps PMOs stop chasing everything and instead align to the work that truly delivers value.

Measuring Outcomes – Reinforces the shift from output (status reports, deliverables) to measurable strategic business results.
