The PMO Conference 2018 was a great success and it all started off with Jack Duggals opening keynote speech – The Next Generation PMO. In which he talks about PMO’s facing the reality of today’s DANCE (Dynamic | Ambiguous | Nonlinear | Complex | Emergent) in a business and project environment.
We caught up with Jack after his keynote (see video below) to discuss his speech, its takeaways and why it is important in today’s PMO environment.
Jack is a sought after international speaker, top-rated facilitator and transformational leader. With over 25 years of experience, he is an internationally recognised expert in Strategy- Execution and PMO. He is the author of a new ground-breaking book, “The DNA of Strategy-Execution: Next Generation Project/Programme Management & PMO.” His next generation ideas and the DNA of Strategy Execution framework have been adopted and implemented in many companies around the world.
In this engaging keynote Jack highlights that “We’re still thinking in a 19th and 20th century way and we are not ready for the dance and disruption of the 21st century world around us.”
If the PMO does not get into a 21st century way of thinking then it will become irrelevant. Jack explains to us how to remain relevant and at the same time provide value and impact to customers and stakeholders.
