DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the House of PMO hosts a PMO Managers Lunch – an invite-only roundtable discussion over good food\, where we explore what’s really going on in PMOs today. It’s candid\, honest\, and collaborative. \nThis year\, we’re coming to Glasgow. And the theme?\nSpecialist Roles in the PMO – because we know the four core roles (Administrator\, Analyst\, Manager\, Director) don’t tell the whole story. \nFrom Benefits Leads to Planning Specialists\, Agile PMO roles to Risk SMEs – we want to explore how these specialist roles are evolving\, where the demand is coming from\, and what that means for PMO structures\, services\, and careers. \nWhy This Theme?\nWe’re building on the PMO Competency Framework\, which currently outlines the four core PMO roles. But in practice\, we’re seeing far more nuanced and specialist roles – sometimes as permanent functions\, sometimes as secondments\, sometimes emerging out of necessity. \nThis roundtable will help shape future updates to the framework – and will feed directly into the next Inside PMO Report. \nWho Should Apply?\nWe’re opening six spaces for PMO Managers to apply. You’ll be a good fit if: \n\nYou manage or lead a PMO (any sector\, any size)\nYou’ve introduced\, managed\, or worked alongside specialist roles in your PMO\nYou’ve got stories\, experience\, or views worth sharing – and you’re happy to contribute\nYou’re curious about how others are approaching specialist roles\n\nThis is not a spectator event. DESCRIPTION:Since its release in 2021\, the PMO Competency Framework has enabled PMO Managers to utilise the House of PMO online tool to better assess\, plan and develop the PMO team’s capability. \nIn this session we focus on the online PMO Competency Framework Self-Assessment tool – specifically the PMO Manager’s access and how the tool works in supporting team development. \nWe will focus on: \n\nHow to kick start self-assessments with team members – providing the benefits of self-assessments and what that means for an individual’s career development\nHow the self-assessment tool works for managers – focusing on team outcomes\nWhat is available at the House of PMO to help address the self-assessment outcomes – how to close skills gaps\, or provide learning opportunities for continuous improvement\nHow other PMOs have utilise the benefits of the tool and the wider corporate membership benefits which help with team capability improvements.\n\n  \nThis session is available for all levels – especially helpful to those roles which include responsibilities for PMO team development. \nIf PMO development sits anywhere near your role\, this is the session that moves you forward. \n
