DESCRIPTION:The House of PMO at the British Computer Society (BCS)\nThis in-person and virtual session explores why spending time in a PMO can broaden your perspective\, strengthen your delivery judgement and open up new career options across project\, programme\, portfolio\, transformation and leadership roles. \nFor many project and programme professionals\, the PMO is seen as a function they work with rather than somewhere they might choose to work. This session explores why spending part of a career in a PMO can be a valuable move – not necessarily a permanent one. \nDrawing on the Inside PMO Report 2026: Specialist Roles in the PMO\, the talk will examine the range of generalist and specialist roles available\, from coordination and delivery support through to data and insight\, governance and assurance\, portfolio management\, benefits and digital capability.
