DESCRIPTION:Following the official launch of the Inside PMO Report 2026 at the PMO Conference\, join House of PMO for this virtual session exploring the key findings from this year’s report: Specialist Roles in the PMO – Career Paths\, Capability and the Future Shape of PMO. \nAs organisations ask more of their PMOs – better data\, stronger governance\, clearer insight and more joined-up ways of working – specialist capability is becoming more visible. But what does that mean for PMO professionals\, PMO leaders and the future shape of PMO teams? \nIn this session\, we’ll share the highlights from the report and the presentation first delivered at the PMO Conference. We’ll look at why generalist PMO roles still provide an important foundation\, when specialist roles begin to emerge\, and how areas such as data\, governance\, assurance\, benefits\, resource management and PMO systems are evolving. \nWe’ll also explore the idea of the T-shaped PMO professional – balancing broad PMO understanding with deeper expertise – and consider why the future PMO may be defined less by job titles and more by the capabilities it develops and the value it enables. \nJoin us on Tuesday 30th June at 12.30pm BST for a practical look at the report findings and what they mean for the future of PMO. \n

DESCRIPTION:What we do\, how we show up\, and why it matters\nWhat really makes a PMO successful? It’s rarely the frameworks or the tools alone – it’s the behaviours behind them. \nThis interactive session explores the behaviours that underpin effective PMOs\, drawing directly from the PMO Competency Framework and insights from the Inside PMO research. We’ll look at behaviour at three levels: \n\nindividual PMO professionals\,\nPMO teams\,\nand the PMO as an organisational entity.\n\nBecause behaviour isn’t just personal. When it’s consistent and collective\, it shapes trust\, influence\, and outcomes. \n  \nWhy behaviour matters\nPMOs don’t operate in a vacuum. Organisational culture\, pressure\, incentives\, and context all influence how a PMO behaves day to day. \nWe’ll explore why behaviours that work well in a portfolio PMO might not land in a project office or a centre of excellence\, and how context changes what ‘good’ looks like. We’ll also look at the unintended behaviours PMOs can drift into under pressure – and what to do about them. \nWe’ll unpack: \n\nWhy some PMO behaviours stick\nWhy others create friction or resistance\nHow small\, intentional shifts can make a big difference to credibility and engagement\n\n  \nWhat to expect\nThis isn’t a one‑way presentation. \nExpect discussion\, reflection\, and shared experience with people who understand the realities of PMO work.
