DESCRIPTION:Breaking the Iron Law: Megaprojects Conference \nPMOs are increasingly involved in supporting complex\, large-scale programmes and portfolios – from infrastructure and transformation initiatives to capital-intensive projects. This conference explores how project professionals can reframe what’s possible in capital-intensive\, complex\, and megaproject delivery and help break the so-called “Iron Law of Megaprojects” – projects that run over budget\, over time\, and under deliver\, again and again. \nHosted by P3GQA\, this multi-day event brings together global experts and practitioners to share frameworks\, insights\, and real-world cases on how to deliver better outcomes in megaprojects. \nKeynote Day – 8 December\nThe centrepiece of the conference\, Keynote Day brings together some of the most influential figures shaping the future of megaproject delivery. \n\nProfessor Bent Flyvbjerg – the originator of the “Iron Law of Megaprojects” and the most cited scholar in the field. He will share the latest research and practical heuristics for breaking the cycle of failure in capital-intensive projects.\nBecky Wood – newly appointed CEO of the UK’s National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA). She brings deep experience from major government projects and will speak about the future of national infrastructure delivery and the role of collaboration.\nAntonio Nieto-Rodríguez – leading voice on the Project Economy\, HBR author\, and former PMI Chair.
