SUMMARY:Edinburgh PMO Flashmob \ PMO Best Practice
DESCRIPTION:Join us at our first PMO Flashmob in Edinburgh post-pandemic! Yes it’s been a while and whilst we love hosting the PMO Conference each November in Edinburgh\, we’ve missed the format of a good old fashioned PMO Flashmob So what’s happening? The session is all about PMO Best Practices. Best practice in PMO are defined as “the set of principles\, methodologies\, models\, frameworks and processes that ensure a PMO  operates efficiently and effectively to support project\, programme\, and portfolio management within an organisation” There are a whole host of different best practices that the PMO utilises so we asked attendees over the last four weeks to choose the four most popular ones they would like to see feature on this evening session. Votng closed – 17th April The four best practice areas are: \n\nStandardisation & Methodologies\nGovernance & Sponsorship\nStrategic Alignment & Portfolio Management\nPMO Service Delivery\n\nWhat to Expect? The session will bring together a mix of learning\, interactive parts and some networking. We’ll be focusing on the top four topic areas as chosen by the poll\, taking a look at each one of them and learning about how each best practice area is tackled by PMOs today. We’ll also give you the opportunity to get involved in a facilitated group exercise so you can learn from others also attending. There will be time for networking and of course we’ll keep you fed and watered too. Where Its Taking Place We’re delighted to be hosted by Computershare in the heart of Edinburgh near St Andrew Square\, see below for location details. The event kicks off at 5.30pm for networking\, drinks\, food from 6pm and we’ll get started at 6.20pm with the main session. Finishing at 8pm\, we’ll be heading to a local pub to carry on the conversation (if you like!)
